IT Manager

Position Summary:

The IT Manager is responsible for the overall IT needs of the Company. This individual must be a highly motivated, hands-on, self starter and be willing to handle a wide variety of responsibilities. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure the day-to-day smooth running of the IT department.
  • Manage desktop support to successfully complete day-to-day responsibilities efficiently and with a high level of quality.
  • Manage desktop support for workstation hardware & software and promptly resolve escalating problems.
  • Responsible for windows system administration, system backups, and local area network management for the end user computers.
  • Establish and maintain processes and procedures for the IT department – including disaster recovery planning.
  • Maintain computer and software inventories.
  • Document troubleshooting methods pertaining to windows and network problems.
  • Configure and manage application systems such as anti-virus software.
  • Provide support for user requests, including but not limited to troubleshooting issues, root cause analysis, and corrective/responsive actions.
  • Maintain the network servers (Exchange / webserver / file servers) and update with latest security patches and hot fixes as required.
  • Update servers and network hardware as desired e.g. implementing new data storage solution, configuring new servers, network switches, etc.
  • Implement and monitor office security systems; make suggestions for improvements.
  • Oversee all aspects of corporate telephone system.
  • Provide annual maintenance and upgrade plan, including estimated budget.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate would have the following qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • 7+ years of related IT experience with a proven track record of supporting company users during periods of high growth.
  • Exposure to financial accounting software database maintenance and ERP systems.
  • Ability to maintain high-speed connectivity and appropriate redundancy between multiple office locations.
  • Proficiency with all current Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Must have strong problem solving, technical and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical solutions.
  • Ability to maintain overall professionalism during high pressure situations.
  • Excellent customer service and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment.
