Senior Inverter Power Design Engineer

Job Description

In this position you will be responsible for developing microinverters for ACPV solar applications. You will work with all relevant groups (mechanical, procurement, quality, operations etc.) to achieve program goals and meet critical time to market product deadlines. Principal duties include component level design of leading edge grid connected microinverters, including circuit design, schematic creation, PCB layout, and prototype evaluation. Will be responsible for delivering products that meets program schedule, quality, cost, reliability and regulatory requirements. This individual will drive cross functional design reviews with the appropriate level of rigor and detail and ensure issues are closed with root cause and corrective action. Attend program review meeting and provide accurate program status updates on a regular basis.

Qualifications

Advanced knowledge in the theory and application of switching power systems. Highly skilled in engineering analysis, managing product development programs, and in communicating effectively, both verbal and written. Position requires strong leadership and teaming skills, and the ability to be effective in a dynamic, cross-functional environment. International travel may be required on occasion.

BSEE required and at least 5 years relevant experience. Knowledge of solar PV systems is a plus.
