Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading SolarBridge’s micro-inverter test development effort from development through production.
• Developing a test process that can accommodate multiple test stages (Hi-Pot, Functional, HASS …etc) and product maturity (qualification, prototypes, production, RMAs …etc) across geographic zones (China, and USA) that provides comprehensive test coverage and data analysis (SPC) capabilities.
• Ability to lead and influence decisions with internal and external (CMs) stakeholders resulting in low-cost, high quality (6 sigma) and flexible test process is critical.
• Drive a high degree of reuse, but utilizing a disciplined path for implementation of continuous innovation.
• Identify key near-term initiatives and opportunities and gain a clear perspective of the long term product test challenges and issues confronting SolarBridge.
• Develop and manage key relationships within the company and create an environment of effective teamwork across functional and location boundaries.
• Implement a transparent, team focused approach to test management that includes all stakeholders in the company.
• Work closely with the Dir of Production Engineering and Quality to quickly make the test team “world class” through innovative solutions and mentoring of existing talent.
• Build a culture of technical excellence and predictable execution.
• Work with operations management to develop a systematic process for cost of test optimization.
• Maintain a high level of engagement with engineering and operations across multiple geographic zones.

Education and Experience

• LabVIEW experience level equivalent to Expert or Advanced, especially in ATE test applications in production and lab environments
• BSEE or higher degree with a minimum of 5 years of directly relevant experience in power supply testing in a design and manufacturing environment.
• Indexed database and associated tools experience (PERL, SQL, postgress and other scripts)
• Have an in-depth understanding and experience with sophisticated, high performance AC/DC ATE equipment.
• In-depth understanding of the phased process of test process development typical in mature development organizations.
• Experience driving cross-functional teamwork to deliver test solutions that exceed expectations
• Results oriented, process driven and relationship focused.
• Excellent organizational skills, willing and eager to put process and structure in place so that the organization and test engineering results can be quickly scaled.
• Good written and spoken English is required with Mandarin Chinese a plus.
