SolarBridge CEO Delivers Keynote at IEEE Solar Technology Workshop

WHO: Ron Van Dell, president and CEO of SolarBridge Technologies (SolarBridge), will be the keynote speaker at the IEEE Solar Technology Workshop in Austin, Texas.
WHAT: Van Dell will kick off the workshop with a talk on Technology and Economics for Distributed PV Power Conversion. His presentation will compare the multitude of options for solar inverters and describe how the latest innovations in PV power electronics are enabling a new generation of ACPV systems. Van Dell will discuss the reliability, regulatory and performance requirements of module-integrated power electronics.

WHY: The Solar Technology Workshop is dedicated to bringing together experts in the convergence area of microelectronics and solar energy. The workshop was established with the support of IEEE Central Texas Section and Freescale Semiconductor to provide a forum for learning and for open discussion in all areas of Solar Technologies and their applications. The goals in developing this workshop are three-fold: Provide background understanding of the current and future solar technologies focusing on the fundamentals through invited papers and tutorials; provide a forum for discussion to foster interaction and ideally generate insight to create breakthrough solutions to pressing problems; and provide a venue for attendees to network with others having similar interests.
