SolarBridge Names New President/CEO as Company Enters New Phase of Growth

PDFAustin, Texas (June 21, 2013) SolarBridge Technologies (SolarBridge), a leading provider of PV microinverter solutions, has appointed Bill Mulligan as president and chief executive officer. Ron Van Dell, former president/CEO, will continue to serve the company as an advisor.
Mulligan, a former senior executive with SunPower, brings 25 years of solar industry experience to the leadership of SolarBridge including deep relationships with the company’s primary stakeholders, module manufacturers and solar developers. He will be instrumental in driving the company’s continuing rapid growth and expansion in the marketplace for solar power electronics.

Mulligan has served as a member of the SolarBridge board of directors since 2011. He was vice president of research and development for SunPower from 1998 until 2010, during which time SunPower grew annual revenues from $8 million to more than $2.2 billion. He led the development of SunPower’s low-cost, one-sun silicon PV cell technology and under his leadership SunPower developed and commercialized the world’s highest efficiency solar panel. Prior to SunPower Mulligan held roles at JX Crystals Inc., National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL), AstroPower Inc. and Fairchild/National Semiconductor.
