AUSTIN, Texas (August 16, 2010) – SolarBridge Technologies (SolarBridge), a leading developer of power conversion products for the solar industry, has moved its headquarters to a new location in north-central Austin.

The move more than triples the square footage in Austin occupied by SolarBridge to accommodate planned growth. The new location features extensive lab space for research and development and will include an outdoor facility for field testing of SolarBridge products.

“The new headquarters demonstrates our commitment to Austin, a vibrant city with a strong talent base,” said Ron Van Dell, president and CEO, SolarBridge. “The on-site lab in particular provides an invaluable testing and demonstration setting that is conveniently positioned within the same space as our corporate, engineering and marketing teams.”

“SolarBridge’s expansion reflects the growth of Austin’s solar industry and clean tech as a whole,” said Susan Davenport, vice president of business, retention and expansion, Austin Chamber of Commerce. “We hope their success will encourage other solar and renewable energy companies to build their businesses in Austin – one of America’s most talented and qualified cities for green technology.”

SolarBridge’s new headquarters are located at 9229 Waterford Centre Blvd., Suite 110, in Austin.

In April 2010, SolarBridge announced that it had secured $15 million in series B funding, which was preceded by $1.5 million of support from the Texas Emerging Technology Fund. The company has raised more than $27 million to date.
